Whether you have been body building for years now or just recently started on body building, I wil discuss 3 of the 6 things that you should be doing. If you are already body building for a couple of months now determine if you are doing the things that are discussed in this article and if not, then it is not yet too late to start following these tips.

Bodybuilding Tip #2: Focus on Getting Results


If you are just casually lifting the same weights for months now without determining if you are progressing in your body building training program then you must be out of your mind. Body building while not paying attention to what you are doing is not only a waste of time but also dangerous. Don’t make your time in the gym as a social hour. Focus on your goal and determine your progress. Don’t let your mind wander off thinking of other things while you are body building. If you are body building just for the heck of it without monitoring your results then don’t expect to get results!

Bodybuilding Tip #2: Keep a Training Journal

If you are body building without keeping a training program then it would be difficult for you to monitor your progress. It is like opening a coffee shop without keeping records of your expenses and sales. One benefit of keeping a journal is that it can help you avoid the same mistakes you once did. If a certain technique did not work for you months before then most certainly it will also not work for the future. Keeping a journal when training will also help you focus yourself on your goals since you can track your daily, weekly and monthly results.

Having a training journal can give you more control on your training program. By listing all the factors that give you a good workout, you will be able to determine the things that you should do to achieve an even better workout.

Bodybuilding tip #3: Focus on One Goal Only

Pick a training program and keep with it until you go through all its paces. If you don’t focus on one goal and instead jump around goals each week, you will not get anywhere. This is like wanting to be an actor now and then next week a fireman and then the following week, an airline pilot. Ahh, to dream is good but to have so many dreams all at the same time will get you stuck in a cycle that would not be easy to get out off.

Trust the effectiveness of your training program and most important of all trust your fitness instructor. Remember, fitness instructors dont just become fitness instructors if they do not know what they are doing. Trusting your program or your fitness instructor can help you focus on a single achievable fitness goal.
