Butt Toning Routines – Shaping Up Your Glutes


Achieving a tighter tush does not come from overnight work. If you want to lose those saddlebags and sagging butt you have to have a consistent diet and fitness program. However, there are simple exercises that will help you tone your butt effectively. Here are 3 exercises that will give you a tighter tush in just a month.

Three times every week and each month do these exercises..

The first exercise to tone your butt is glute kickbacks. This should be done by using a mat on your knees to avoid scrapes and knees sores. For better results, you can add ankle weights on your legs. Do 4 sets with 40 repetitions on each leg and then do stretching for 15 minutes before the last exercise.

The second exercise is the elastic band kick backs. Using an elastic band that you can purchase in fitness shops at relatively low cost, kick your left leg straight back behind you at a 45 degree angle. When you reach the top of your leg swing, hold on for at least 2 seconds and then release. Do the same with the other leg. If an elastic band is not available you can also use a surgical tubing to do this kind of butt toning workout.

The last and I think one of the easiest most fun ways to tone your butt is by using an exercise ball. You can purchase an exercise ball in any fitness shop at a relatively low cost. Do ball butt raises on the exercise ball for 4 sets with 40 repetitions each. While doing hip raises on the exercise ball you can put your palms flat down to help you balance better. Do not go far down when doing butt raises and work above the bridge to contract your hip muscles better. Also, make sure that when at the top of your butt raise you clench. If an exercise ball is not available you can also do butt raises using a bed or a chair.     

Aside from these 3 simple workouts to tone you butt you can also do jogging, stairs running or skipping on a rope. Furthermore, along with these exercises, you should also eat low fat, medium carb food such as oats, brown rice and yams. it will also be helpful to reduce your sugar intake as much as you can.
